A founder trustee of Saksham Trust, Dipendra Manocha is committed to empowering persons with visual disabilities. With appropriate use of technology, he is facilitating their inclusion in education, livelihood, and daily living activities. He is the lead of training and technical support and coordinates DAISY Consortium’s projects in developing countries. Besides, he is the President of the DAISY Forum of India, Vice-President National Association for the Blind (Delhi state branch) and Member of the Braille Council of India. He has also worked as a consultant to Delhi University for establishing the resource centre for persons with disabilities. He is an Ashoka Fellow and has received the National Award of the government of India, the IBN Super Idol Award, and the leadership award from IIM Lucknow.
